Community Guidelines
Last updated 24 October 2026Heurekka works because people answer each other's questions honestly and give real feedback on each other's work. These are the few rules that keep it that way.
Be the person you'd want answering you
- Answer from experience, and say when you're not sure.
- Give feedback on the work, not the person. Be specific; say what's good too.
- Ask in the right Lab, with enough detail that someone can help.
- Don't post AI-generated answers as your own. If you used a tool, say so and say what you checked.
What isn't allowed
These are the reasons you can report something, and the rules our team and Space moderators apply:
- Threats or self-harm. Threats against anyone, or content encouraging self-harm. These go straight to the Heurekka safety team. If someone is in danger, contact local emergency services too.
- Harassment. Targeting someone, insults, pile-ons, or sharing someone's private information.
- Hate. Attacks on people for who they are (ethnicity, religion, gender, disability, sexuality and the like), and slurs.
- Spam or scams. Unsolicited selling, fake job or investment offers, asking for Sparks, or links you're paid to post. Real opportunities belong in Opportunity posts.
- Dangerous advice. Instructions likely to cause harm, such as getting round security on systems you don't own, or financial schemes.
- Stolen content. Someone else's code, designs or writing posted as your own, or sold in the Shop.
- Off-topic. Posts that don't belong in that Lab. Lab moderators move or remove these.
Sparks, the Shop and Quests
- Don't trade tips with friends or use extra accounts to earn Sparks.
- Only sell what you made or have the right to sell, and fix what you sell when buyers report a problem.
- Do Quests yourself, honestly. Fake proof forfeits the reward.
What happens when rules are broken
Depending on how serious it is and whether it's happened before, our team or the Space's moderators can:
- warn you,
- remove the post,
- mute you (you can read but not post or message for a while),
- suspend your account for a time, or
- ban the account.
You always get a notice saying which rule and what was done. You can appeal within 14 days, and a different person reviews it. Some actions also pause cash-outs for 90 days. See the Terms for the details.
Reporting
